BLH Investigates Murder of Fishkill Prison Inmate
BLH launched an investigation into the death of Samuel Harrell, an inmate at Fishkill Correctional Facility. Mr. Harrell was brutally beaten to death by Corrections Officers at Fishkill Correctional Facility. Attorneys from BLH worked tirelessly to investigate Mr. Harrell's death, interviewing over 20 witnesses and loved ones to piece together the events leading to Mr. Harrell's murder. Lawyers in the landmark stop-and-frisk case, Floyd v. City of New York, have reached agreement with the City and the court-appointed monitor on new stop-and-frisk and racial profiling policies for the NYPD.
